Reporting

Importers and producers that sell drink products covered by the Danish deposit and return system must report their sales volumes to allow Dansk Retursystem to invoice the correct fees. Owing to the commercially sensitive nature of this information, importers and producers do not send the figures to Dansk Retursystem A/S but to an independent firm of auditors.

  • Companies that sell refillable bottles or one-way packaging identified with directly printed labels have to file reports every four weeks or once a year.
  • Companies that sell one-way packaging identified with self-adhesive deposit labels have a number of different reporting options which include reporting once a year or not at all.

Return figures

Importers and producers that sell refillable bottles must also report their return figures to Dansk Retursystem A/S which uses the data to calculate the return percentage. These figures are also used for calculating the repayment of the appropriate Handling fee
