New procedure in connection with the assignation or transfer of packaging

From June 2010, the procedure has changed so that, under all circumstances, it is now a requirement that any packaging assigned or transferred must have a different EAN barcode and GTIN.

This means that when an item of packaging registered with the Danish deposit and return system is assigned or transferred from one supplier to another, it is no longer possible to continue using the same EAN barcode and GTIN. Read more about registration of packaging.
