Recycling and scrap

One-way packaging collected by Dansk Retursystem A/S is ultimately sold for recycling. But before this happens we sort the packaging by material types: glass, plastic, aluminium and steel. Once sorted the packaging is sold to different companies for further processing. Ultimately the material can be recycled to make new cans, bottles or fleece garments.

We are constantly fine-tuning our sales of scrap because the resulting income is included in the registration fee account. In real terms, this means that the higher the income the lower the fees paid by importers and producers.
