Registration

Importers and producers wishing to sell drink products that are covered by the Danish deposit and return system must register their packaging with Dansk Retursystem A/S.

Packaging must be registered with Dansk Retursystem A/S because:

• It needs to be recognised by the reverse vending machines to allow the devices to approve the packaging as deposit refundable items and dispense the correct refunds to consumers.
   
  
• It has to be registered in the deposit and return system to allow importers and producers to be charged the correct fees by Dansk Retursystem. These comprise: logistics fees for refillable bottles and one-way packaging sold to the grocery trade, and collection fees for collecting one-way packaging in the grocery and hotel and catering sectors.
